I now work for Benefit Cosmetics. My counter is situated opposite the Nars counter, which is a big mistake for me.
When I first saw Taj Mahal I actually shouted out ‘Who the HELL would wear orange blusher?’ Well, unfortunately me. It looks fantastic on my skin tone. Literally love at first site and I snapped it up today after almost a month of pondering if I should or shouldn’t. It’s a burnt orange colour with a hint of shimmer, but on my colouring it comes out like a burnt red, it’s fantastic.

I also purchased a large cat makeup bag which I am planning on customising into a handbag, and the B right skincare from Benefit, because I want to try out their other skincare, and this set is GREAT as like I have mentioned in previous posts, I have sensitive skin so I can try out their full range and give an honest review to my customers. I adore their Triple Performing moisturiser, it’s literally the ONLY one I can wear without breaking out or my skin feeling tingly / burning / want to claw it off.

The limited edition set has sold out online but we had 10 in store left over. £10
Nars Taj Mahal. £21
Catseye Cat Makeup Bag. £8.50

Review: With the sudden increase in BB (Beauty Balms and Blemish Balms) on the UK market, it’s worth giving one a go. I was given this by a work colleague as she knows I love sheer foundations and would rather the natural look for every day makeup.

Personally, I hate the sudden increase of BBs on the market. They are totally different to the Asian market’s BBs and the amount of times I’ve had to explain to Asians who have travelled here or are here for Education that it is NOT like theirs is remarkable, and they can’t get over that it has been created differently over here. Not only is it misleading it is a pain in the foot to try and explain this to people and give a correct answer when people ask ‘Well what is a BB cream?’

However this is a beauty balm, so it does not contain any skin lightener, does not contain a high SPF like the Asian market compared to their 25 - 50 SPF, and is not a thick heavy duty formula.

You have to be open minded about this, as it is very sheer. So if you like the heavier look, stay clear. It does state tinted on the actual packaging, and it is just that. I personally could not see any noticeable changes when I applied it to my face, and I did not notice it even out my complexion. It did however give a shimmer and a dewy finish. It also has quite good oil control and staying power. I have mixed this in with other foundations (Cover Girl, Too Faced, Pixi, Chanel) and it does help give off an illuminating finish.  The consistency is very thick for something so sheer, but you only need a little to go a long way, that’s what’s so good about higher end products.

I did not find it moisturised my skin, it just sort of sat on the top. I have very dry patches on the sides of my temples and this seemed to stay the same throughout the trial.

I needed additional cover up (such as concealer) to cover any blemishes I had on the days, but I did notice that it made my concealer slip around a tad and didn’t have the staying power that it usually does.

It works okay as a primer, not as well as others that I have tried, but for 3 products in 1, it is worth the money and worth the go of trying it out in different ways. (Mixing, stand alone, base, primer)
The claims on the box don’t really match up to the product, I didn’t find it very moisturising, wasn’t that oil retaining as I expected, and it does not even out skintone.

As a person who has sensitive skin, it broke me out a little, not much, but I noticed some areas on my head and cheeks where I had small pimples, not as bad breakouts as other products have given me but it still should be noted.

Hey guys and dolls!

I’m back, again, this time for a while hopefully!

Things that have happened:
Lost weight, put it back on.
I could potentially be Dyslexic.
I have better control over my spending, which I am glad for!
I have a few online purchases waiting to come, and one jacket from Korea!
The coloured bits in my hair are blonde, I got bored of red. But I make the tips different coloured from time to time. They are currently a blend of yellow orange and red.
2NE1 are back on the scene, and I’m so happy!

I have two reviews written up, One for a Too Faced Beauty Balm, and I’m mid writing one for the Pixi under eye concealer. Would you guys like me to do a written review about any specific product?

I’m thinking of also doing a youtube video to explain the difference in concealers, specifically why you should not use concealers under the eye and peach tone is the best.

Let me know your thoughts!

This is fantastic!

I’d love to try one of these lipsticks one day. I came across them when I was looking at bright lipsticks a few months ago. The yellow one is amaaazing! So is the gold. They’ve been developed so well.
You should totally check out her line of makeup, the colours are to die for!
